Security of funds

We take the security of our client’s funds very seriously. We are not an exchange that keeps most of the funds in one place.

Below is a detailed description of our security policies to ensure that maximum security for the funds of our clients.

First of all, we DO NOT keep any funds on exchanges. Exchanges have been hacked several times.

Examples: CoinCheck Hack: $730 million, BitGrail Hack: $170 million, BitFinex Hack: $120 million. The list goes on and on and on.

We break down the storage and distribution of the funds in multiple software wallets, hardware wallets and other cold storage in order to reduce the possibility of getting heavily hacked or having any of the bitcoins under our supervision stolen.

We apply the following security measures:

  • 25% of bitcoins is kept in multi-signature wallets stored on different devices that require the signature of 4 people from different locations before bitcoins can be moved out of there. All machines keeping these bitcoins are computer equipment that we keep to do only this. These machines are offline and only connect to the internet the moment we will deposit more funds to them or the moment we will withdraw funds from them to send back to our clients.
  • 75% is kept in hardware wallets and other cold storage services. The hardware wallets are all stored in different secure locations, inside secure safes. Each hardware wallet keeps no more than 10-20 bitcoins.
  • None of our employees has single access to any of the bitcoin storage places. Any attempt to withdraw bitcoins to send back to our clients must be authorized by 4 different people.
  • All our computer equipment is using active subscriptions to antivirus, anti-malware, anti-fishing, anti-keylogging software and all of them are using Kensington USB Port Lock with Rectangular Cable Guard so no USB device can be used on the machines.
  • All our employees are thoroughly trained and monitored on using strict security procedures with any interaction that has to do with the cryptos of our clients.
  • All our crypto asset accounts are only accessed through our own trusted networks, by IP address and hardware MAC Address.
  • All passwords used are 16 characters or more in length, using all combinations of lower and uppercase letters, symbols and numeric characters.
  • All our private keys are backed up in 4 different offline locations and on paper.
  • All our wallets are backed up on a daily basis and kept in 4 different offline locations.
